Adoption Information
Thinking about adopting? We have several dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, colors, and breeds available for adoption. All of our animals are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. We also test for heart worms, FeLV (cats) and other parasites.
Fees:
We generally charge a $100 fee for adult dogs and a $75 fee for cats. The adoption fee for puppies (5 months and under) is $200 as they need a lot more initial care than adults. Heart worm positive dogs and animals with other health concerns have lowered adoption fees ($50). All of our heart worm positive dogs are started on slow-kill treatment.
As a nonprofit, we operate solely through donations and adoption fees Veterinary bills and the basic care of 20-80 animals can be quite extensive. Every dollar that is earned from adoption fees, goes directly back to our animals. For every animal we adopt out, we raise the funds to save another.
We require an approved adoption application on file in order to set up a meet and greet. If you'd like to proceed with meeting and potentially adopting one of our animals, please download the adoption application from the red button below. After you fill out the application, save it, and e-mail it to blackcatsolddogs@gmail.com. We will respond to you within 24 hours. Sometimes we may have follow up questions.
